From 2024 to 2025, a review and a look ahead
Happy New Year! The beginning of a new year is a perfect time to look back on the highlights of the past year and look ahead to what is to come. For Scan Sys, 2024 was a year full of innovation, growth and new collaborations. We joined Blinqx, implemented important software updates and continued to expand our customer base. In this blog, we take you through our key milestones of 2024 and our ambitions for 2025.
Looking back at 2024
A strategic partnership: joining Blinqx
One of the most profound and significant events of 2024 was our affiliation with Blinqx. This strategic move marks a new chapter in the history of Scan Sys. Blinqx’s support allows us to focus on what we do best: developing innovative document automation solutions. Meanwhile, Blinqx provides us with the stability and strategic support needed to realize our ambitions.
The shared vision and values of both organizations are at the heart of this partnership. Both Blinqx and Scan Sys believe in creating powerful, user-friendly software solutions that automate and streamline administrative processes. This shared ambition enables us to further expand our product offering and support our customers even better in their daily work.

Innovative releases and new features
In 2024, we proudly released eleven updates to ImageCapture, from version 10.2 to 10.12. These updates again brought great new features and optimizations, including:
- Interactive visualizations in the Web Client: With the introduction pie charts, users can easily monitor and filter the status of documents, making process management more intuitive and efficient.
- “Ask a Question” feature: Users can ask questions directly within the ImageCapture environment while booking invoices. This enhancement increases collaboration and traceability within workflows.
- New connectors and integrations: Important additions such as the SharePoint-connector, the Claever API and integration with CarWise have made our platform even more versatile.
- New solutions on existing integrations: Existing integrations have been extended to include the solution for automatic purchase order matching with Exact Globe(+), ECI Trimergo, Prodist ERP en Isah.
Our releases in 2024 focused on increasing efficiency and flexibility. These innovations are the result of our close collaboration with customers. By listening carefully to needs, we have been able to develop functionalities that make a real impact in daily processes.
Improvements in performance and usability
In addition to introducing new features, we have put a lot of effort into improving the performance and usability of ImageCapture in 2024. At Scan Sys, we understand that a smoothly running software is essential to our customers’ success. Therefore, we have made several optimizations to further enhance the user experience.
Updates such as version 10.10 and 10.7 have significantly increased stability and speed. Especially users in complex network environments, such as when using VPN, benefit from these improvements. This enables trouble-free work even under challenging conditions.
In addition, we have expanded the document editing capabilities in the Web Client. Users can now directly annotate, rotate or delete pages without having to switch back to the desktop version. This provides more flexibility and control, allowing documents to be processed faster and more efficiently.
We have also made workflows simpler and more intuitive. Daily tasks, such as processing invoices, run more smoothly thanks to an improved interface and integrated tools. With these improvements, we have not only increased the performance of our software, but also taken an important step toward more user-friendly solutions.
At Scan Sys, we remain committed to further developing and adapting ImageCapture to the changing needs of our customers.
Growing impact and international reach
By 2024, we have continued to expand our customer base and international presence. With nearly 5,200 successful installations – a growth of more than 290 installations over last year – we continue to increase our impact. We also made significant strides in the internationalization of our software. With the introduction of German, Spanish and French versions of the Web Client and the soon-to-be-launched Polish version, ImageCapture is becoming increasingly accessible to customers across Europe. These developments strengthen our position in the European market and underscore companies’ growing confidence in our document automation solutions
Successful presence at exhibitions and customer days
2024 was also a year in which we had a full presence at important events. We were proud to participate as a gold partner in both Exact Live 2024 and ICT & Logistiek 2024. We also attended the customer days of AFAS, ECI and Reflecta, among others. These events gave us the opportunity to make valuable contacts, present our latest innovations and engage directly with our customers. Our visibility at these trade shows and events contributed to strengthening our relationships and increasing our brand awareness.
Looking ahead to 2025
In 2025, our focus is on further developing the ImageCapture Web Client and the ImageCapture Online Platform. These platforms will be expanded with new features to make document processing even easier and more efficient. For example, we are working on expanded archive search functions within ImageCapture Workflow and ensuring the immediate availability of previously processed invoices during booking, which significantly speeds up the approval and booking process.
