Reijrink Staalconstructie is a household name in the steel processing industry. With an impressive portfolio that ranges from mushroom farms in Canada to cinema complexes in Amsterdam, the Brabant family business continues to continuously improve its processes.
In 2018, Reijrink decided to digitize its administrative processes with ImageCapture, a powerful solution linked to ConstruSteel. Controller Jos van der Bruggen shares how this integration has contributed to greater efficiency and transparency within the organization.

The challenge
At Reijrink Staalconstructie, processing 12,000 purchase invoices a year was a time-consuming and inefficient process. “With the flow of purchase invoices alone, we could fill 25 to 30 binders annually,” Jos van der Bruggen says.
Paper invoices were often difficult to retrieve, the approval process was slow, and manual errors were not uncommon. The organization was looking for a solution to modernize their records and eliminate “paperwork.
Three of the 150 employees work with ImageCapture daily, but the entire organization benefits from digitization.
The process/method
Reijrink is an organization that values innovation. When ConstruSteel announced its partnership with Scan Sys, Reijrink quickly decided to jump on this integration. As one of the first users of the link between ImageCapture and ConstruSteel, the company worked closely with consultant Jay Madho of Scan Sys to ensure a smooth implementation.
After the rollout, purchase invoices were automatically read, matched and stored digitally in both ImageCapture and ConstruSteel. This ensures that all invoices are accessible at any time. “The manual process, where invoices were sometimes approved first and then booked, is completely a thing of the past,” Jos explains.
Thanks to OCR technology and seamless integration with ConstruSteel, invoices are now processed instantly and automatically linked to the correct projects and cost centers. This approach has not only saved time but also significantly improved the reliability and speed of administration.
