Over the
years.

Scan Sys has achieved significant milestones in growth and innovation in recent years.

1991

Maarten Terlingen founds Scan Sys, with a focus on OCR technology and document processing automation.

1994

In 1994, Maarten discovered specific OCR technology that recognized complex texts, and allows intelligent recognition of text from documents. This formed the basis for the development of Scan Sys product implementation.

1996

Scan Sys entered the market of government agencies, corporate communications departments and media and documentation organizations with sales of ProClip and NewsClip software, which created digital clipping newspapers and news bulletins.

1996

Soon the small office in Alphen aan den Rijn no longer offered enough space for the ambitions of Maarten and his team. Scan Sys moved to an office building at De Donau in The Hague.

1998

Scan Sys expanded its portfolio with ReadSoft Forms, which allowed written surveys and forms to be automated via OCR, OMR, barcode and handwriting recognition.

2001

Launch of ImageCapture for Documents, developed specifically for processing transportation documents and notarial records.

2005

Due to rapid growth, Scan Sys moved to new, self-built premises on Hofweg in Nootdorp, where we are still located.

 

2010

Introducing ImageCapture for Invoices, which allows companies to digitize and automatically match purchase invoices.

2018

Launch of ImageCapture Workflow, which allows invoices to be filed digitally, including an integrated digital archive.

2020

Purchasing management solution is added, giving Exact Globe and Exact Financials users a grip on their purchasing and invoice processing processes.

2022

Major release of ImageCapture 9.2, with the ability to submit and process receipts and claims digitally from desktop, tablet and mobile.

2023

Launch of ImageCapture 10, with a completely redesigned and user-friendly Web Client that gives users more control over templates and workflows.

2024

Scan Sys joins Blinqx, continuing to build on the growth and future of our company.
